Crown Lengthening

Crown lengthening involves the removal of gum tissue and/or bone to expose more of a tooth’s structure to aid the restoring dentist to be able to properly fit a crown or restoration to the tooth.

Aesthetic crown lengthening is also performed in patients that present with a gummy smile. This procedure removes excess gum tissue exposing more of the clinical crown of the tooth thereby enhancing the patients smile and aesthetics.
